Recognizing the Value of Education

An important aspect of succeeding in today’s competitive market is to maintain a high level of knowledge in the constantly developing fields of construction technology and business management.

Metal Buildings Institute Certified Contractors are required to earn Continuing Education Units during the certification period through a variety of industry educational resources. These requirements must be met by members of management, as designated by the companies during the application process.

Sources for earning Continuing Education Units include, but are not limited to:

•	Annual Metal Building Contractors & Erectors Conference, sponsored by the Metal Buildings Institute
•	Metalcon International, sponsored by the Metal Construction Association
•	Manufacturer-sponsored certification programs or builder conferences which include educational workshops
•	Workshops sponsored by MBCEA chapters
•	Other educational conferences specific to the metal buildings construction industry

Continuing Education Unit requirements are not difficult to meet, but they are an important part of this quality recognition program. Metal Buildings Institute Certified Contractors are able to demonstrate through this program that they are continuing to keep abreast of advancements and changes prevalent in our industry.
